Google has formed an enormous alliance with eBay. The deal includes two major factors, text advertising on all international eBay sites and “click-to-call” / PPCall - Pay Per Click service. Yahoo! will remain the major ad provider for eBay in the United States. The PPCall deal includes Google and its Google Talk joining technologies with eBay and its Skype. Skype has more distribution of VoIP while Google has a huge search and advertising base. I don’t particularly know what will happen with current technologies such as Google Checkout, but do foresee quite a bit more cool devices such as the Linksys CIT300 Skype supporting handset.
